Special message from Janet Fouts … Team Captain for Team Willow Glen in the 2009 Avon Walk:

I’m team captain for “Team Willow Glen” in the 2009 Avon Walk. Avon is one of the few walks that donates a large part of the proceeds to local organizations, and many of the people treated at these sites are people who might not otherwise get care at all. Last year team Willow Glen raised over $20,000 for the Avon foundation.

We’re going to do a silent auction this year to raise money for the team. Funds raised will be donated to the Avon foundation as part of the funds each walker is required to raise to walk ($1800 per walker) in this amazing event.

Elva Acevedo of Elva’s Coffee Stop will not only be walking but hosting the silent auction as well. If you own or know of a business or individual who will donate an item for the auction or cash to the walkers, please contact me at the number below, or drop by Elva’s and speak to her.

As we get items to bid on we will post them to the blog and Elva will show them off at the shop too. It’s a way for you to visibly show your community support, and help a great cause.
