Assembly Member Jim Beall, will be at Elva’s Almaden at 8:30 am, on Monday May 11, joining us all for coffee. The community is invited and everyone who shows up gets 5 minutes of discussion directly with him.

Jim will be putting up a banner to remind the community that Elva’s Coffee Stop was nominated Small Business of the Year by him previously.

Hello all, it is that time again. Time to lace up, get my game face on, and start WALKING.

It is unbelievable it has been a whole year. This year’s walk is July 7 and 8th. I have increased my training as I plan on being ready. To stay on top of my game, I train year round. I do increase my walking and hiking as it gets closer. To stay ready and focused I do cross fit, and most recently started Jiu Jitsu. I love Jiu Jitsu!

In the last year since my walk, we have opened a new location. While many questioned if I’d be walking for this years AVON WALK, due to my two locations, much more work hours…., Yes I am walking. This is a personal fight. As most of you know my sister is a now 5 year survivor. Since my last walk, my brothers girlfriend was also diagnosed, several other women I know have been afflicted by this horrible thing, cancer. It’s personal.

Our new store is open from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Friday, and from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday!

Come see us. It is beautiful!

It’s that time of year again.

Please save the date for Friday December 16, 5:30-9PM at our original Lincoln Avenue location.

We are celebrating our 7-Year Anniversary at Elva’s. We could not be any happier. You are a part of our family. We have seen you and your families grow over the years, and you have seen us grow as well.

Many of you know that in just a few more days we will be opening our new location. We are very excited about this new store at 5019 Almaden Expressway, right next to “La Vic.” We will keep you all posted on our Grand Opening date.

A new Coffee Stop for Christmas?

It’s official! Construction started November 10 on the second Elva’s Coffee Stop, on Almaden Expressway, near Highway 85!

Ay caramba! … After a “process at county and city hall, we have finally been approved to break ground!

All I want for Christmas is a new Coffee Stop!! New Coffee Stop!! New Coffee Stop!! Our updated target date is for the week of Dec. 21.

He smiles this way everyday because his day starts at Elva’s!

Continuing our tradition of community involvement, Elva’s Coffee Stop is pleased to be a vendor at Willow Glen High School Football games in 2011!

Although we aren’t selling coffee, we are selling Red Bull Smoothies and regular smoothies. Available flavors include watermelon, strawberry, orange, coconut and raspberry, to name a few. We also have Iced Tea.

Necessary Price Increases

In the next few days we will have a price increase on beans, beverages as well as some pastries. It is and always has been our goal to provide our customers with top of the line products. Our pastry vendor, Kellys Bakery has raised our prices yearly due to high sugar, flour, and egg increases.

Our coffee roaster, Connoisseur Coffee, has not raised our prices for over 6 years. This last round of high coffee prices was hard on our industry, he had no choice but to raise our prices significantly.

We appreciate your continued support through these tough economic times.

I would like to thank everyone of you! You made a big difference in this year’s walk!

YOU helped raise an impressive $4.2 Million — much of which was distributed immediately at our Closing Ceremony to breast cancer organizations throughout the Bay Area to support the remarkable work they do in the fight against breast cancer; work that will someday rid the world of this disease.

Thank you for making this possible.

YOU are the reason I walk. YOU motivate me. YOU inspire me.

YOU again showed that you truly are IN IT TO END IT.
